Why audio is never stored, and what is

1 min read · Updated 29 September 2026

Audio is turned into text in memory as you speak and is then discarded. No audio file or recording is kept, on any plan.

What is kept, under your practice's records policy:

  • the transcript text of the visit, linked to the note,
  • the draft and the signed note, with their edit history,
  • patient summaries and documents you create,
  • a record that consent was confirmed: who confirmed it and when.

Because nothing is recorded, there is nothing to play back later: the transcript text is the record of what was said.
