Your first ambient visit: consent, capture, review, sign

1 min read · Updated 24 September 2026

Every recorded visit follows the same four steps, and nothing is final until you sign.

  1. Consent. Choose Start consultation. Before anything listens, the consent step asks you to confirm the patient in the room and that everyone present has been told and has agreed. It shows the consent script for your country to read aloud. Nothing is captured until you confirm consent.
  2. Capture. Speech becomes text in memory as you talk. The audio itself is never stored, anywhere.
  3. Review. When you stop, Chronix Scribe drafts the note into your template from what was said. Every draft carries the label AI-generated — review before signing. Edit anything you like.
  4. Sign. Open sign-off, confirm it is the right patient's record, and choose Sign note. A signed note is locked; any later change is added as a dated addendum in your name.

You can also dictate a note in your own words, or start a blank note and type it yourself, instead of recording a conversation.
